My friend gave me some fresh off the alpaca, alpaca. How do I prep it for spinning? It's very twiggy. With lots of stuffs on or IN it.

Lay out a gargabe bag (outside on a table) and lay the fiber on it. You are going to want to pick out all of the VM. Lucky for you, Alpacas are mostly clean and there will not be poo parts (mostly)

Then take the fiber and put chunks of it in a delicates bag and soak the dirt out. You really don't have to scrub or scour alpaca

Let dry on a sweater rack and then yo can either spin from the lock as is or card/comb as you like.
