I swear to god everything about american health insurance is so fucked up I don't understand what's happening anymore

months ago, MONTHS ago, got approved from my state marketplace to keep using the insurance I've been using. everything taken care of got the card all that

-12TH OF DECEMBER, get told oh actually you aren't eligible for that anymore
-????? fill out application again
-you know what you're suddenly eligible for now tho? medicaid
-?????

okay, go to state site for medicaid shit, fill things out, pick a plan, become Extremely Unhappy bc now I can't see my family doc until the situation changes, but at least I'll have. insurance of some kind

-29TH OF DECEMBER, get a letter from the state saying 'hey we heard you either got employed or lost your job, fill out this application letting us determine if you can get employer insurance along with medicaid'
-'also if you don't fill this out, we'll just drop you from medicaid bc fuck you'

friends my employment situation has not changed in over a year

I have not lost a job. I have two part-time jobs, and because I am part time, I do not get offered insurance through my employers

I do not know what the fuck they think is going on with me but I have filled out this form to the best of my ability and will put it in the mail tomorrow, the 30th of fucking december, and will travel into the new year not knowing if I technically have any insurance at all bc I do not currently have any cards for this

I had places I had narrowed down, places who took my insurance who had openings, I was going to get this started finally

now everything's fucked up. when I go to therapy tomorrow I won't know if I can still see him anymore either until I talk to him

I don't know if I'll still be able to get my thyroid meds without paying out the ass for it in less than three months when I need this rx refilled

I mean YEAH I intend to fix my job situation for something mmmmmore or something fuller time but like jeSUS job hunting is the worst thing in the universe

Time to go to one of my two jobs that I got to support me in the slow season and now nothing is going to help I guess idk anymore

It can happen! I found both a behavioral health specialist for prescribing meds as well as a therapist, i just had to look up therapists in my state that did virtual visits rather than in-person.

God pray for me that I can find someone to diagnose me with the brain go brr disease and give me medications bc it's been hell trying to figure out how any of this even works
