so this serious of two videos / podcasts is phrased a lot about women, but many of the statements are valid people who deal with menstrual cycles, fertility, peri menopause, post menopause. it's a discussion with a lot of fact checking and at least as far as I got it gives a lot of food for thought
There is a lot of discussion for many stages of life, and the organizer (who is male) recommends it to be linked to men, too, because understanding makes a whole lot of difference
for those of us with the female-leaning hormonal set, there is so much information about things that ... are expected, and how they can be alleviated and treated
I WISH periods were talked more about. when I was still female presenting I'd have horrible periods that would just leave me sick and shit. and I had no info about it.
like, amab men need to be sat down and have it explained to them because due to biology a lot of them are going to have afab partners who do have periods.
that's the podcaster's point, he's like ... you know what. Send this to your lady friends, but send it to your men friends too because I know I now have a better idea about my girlfriend, my sister, my coworkers
(I knew men had low awareness but then someone said that her boss expected her to be able to 'hold menstruation in and not bleed' and it hit me just how... much they don't know.)
