caught up to ep 13 of Kamen Rider Gavv

the suits are so silly AND YET THE DRAMA IS SO ENGAGING??? HUH???

like gosh. i love shouma's and hanto's dynamic

two most trauma-filled boys that walked the earth

spagonia and i have been talking about it while watching and honestly it'd be fun RPing as either one!!

shouma finding happiness in the human world and learning from them, while hanto fights to find the truth about his mom's disappearance and ends up sacrificing his humanity for it

ouuuughhh i love them your honor-

these boys are really going through it

like. Shouma had to deal with his awful family for most of his life, and seeing them kill his birth mother by his other half-siblings was the final straw for him. of course, he'd run away and rather find a better place for himself.

At the same time, he struggles to feel like he belongs in the human world that he's been curious about for all his life. added with the fact that he had to deal with his siblings chasing after him and wanting him dead

and as Gavv, despite his efforts in helping the humans he admires, they still see him as a monster in the form he takes........... augh.......... this is so kamen rider............................

Hanto meanwhile is so earnest and actually really competent in his job (most of the time)!!! BUT AT THE SAME TIME, HE HAD TO DEAL WITH SO MUCH LOSS AUGH

his mom? gone. his boss? dead. the people he gets acquainted with? end up being food stock-

PLUS i think it feels nice and refreshing to see two Riders cooperating without the air of competitiveness going on like most shows would do. just no rivalries, only comraderies.

though i havent watched build since i stopped catching up after ex-aid so...

also me: so this must be the "passionate drama between men" that they were talking about huh-

I can't wait to watch more honestly just to see where Shouma and Hanto's journeys go along with Sachika who is still in the dark...
