Darin - absolutely

Eggman - never. Eggman does not share victory and any event that would constitute a high five would be a success wholly attributed to him

dead characters 7 - How does Darin react to being hit? It entirely depends on the situation and assailant. If someone is looking to start a fight and Darin would throw down whether they’re a serious threat or not. He’d probably be a smart ass the entire time. If it’s someone he deeply trusts? That depends on the context and who it is.

10 - any special gestures he shares with a friend or loved one? FOREHEAD TOUCHES.

BIKE ZELDA and I have established that Darin and Zelda touching their foreheads together completely grounds and calibrates them. It’s something they do when they’re feeling anxious or upset or just to reaffirm that they’re not alone and they’re loved and it’s become so important

BIKE ZELDA 3 - a generally unwanted touch? That’s a good one because Darin has no personal space issues.

But I think any sort of gentle touch when he doesn’t know a person that well puts him incredibly on edge. Like he’s not used to kindness and he’s waiting for the other shoe to drop.

5 - way better at giving touch because he doesn’t think about it. He just does. Being touched means he’s not in control of the situation and he has to respond and he doesn’t always know how to do that.

14 - how to communicate peace or helpfulness? Oh this is a good one, JEN YOU GAVE ME THE HARD ONES

Generally, Darin is a very animated individual. He gestures a lot. He moves a lot. He’s very kinetic.

Big movements, sweeping gestures, etc

I think Darin would communicate by dialing it back. Small, close, gentle movements. Holding a hand out. Placing it lightly on a shoulder, the back, or even the top of the head.

He’s a big guy with big warm hands so I imagine his hand on your head or shoulder would feel weighted like a blanket or one of those things you put in the oven then drape around your neck lol

So that’s what he’d do

2 for Eggman - a safe touch for him? Hmmm

Handing him something he wants. It’s about the only acknowledgement of “cooperation” he’d give.

You are allowed to touch the thing he wants you to give him and maybe your hands accidentally touch in a professional manner when you hand it off

The occasional handshake in a professional environment (he wears gloves so)
