[my urticaria saga]

so it resolved by itself 2 days prior to my appointment because of course it did

specialist took a history and then did the equivalent of patting me consolingly

sadly this is exactly what I thought it is

and equally sadly he informed me that there's not a lot that can be done and yes it will absolutely come back again 😭

he did suggest I do a couple of bloods just in case (thyroid autoantibodies apparently, are a super common trigger, as is helicobacter pylori)

and I have permission to use four (!!!!!) antihistamines a day (my choice of which one) and/or montelukast the next time

Yeeeesh

certain illnesses are like computer/software problems, the minute an IT support comes into close contact, it mysteriously resolves itself and cannot be duplicated

oh I just realised I never mentioned but yes the diagnosis is, indeed, chronic urticaria

and its basically my immune system throwing a hissy fit "just because"

he told me he gers the same thing lol
