yardwork day two

the whole front yard has gotten at least a cursory hoeing, as has the driveway-side strip

property-side strip has been........ started

my back was hurting too much by then to keep going

I'm gonna go out later with the rolly seat and work at it slowly

have learned that the soil there drains very poorly, as it was the one and only area of dirt that still had standing water

so THAT'S gonna get not just mulch, but also perlite and probably a sowing of cornflowers to put down deep deep roots
