Controversial opinion (so it would seem), I am really enjoying Taylor Swift's new album. There are only two tracks I'm not especially keen on.

Hating on Taylor Swift has become sport. Harshing someone else’s mellow in this economy? Fuck all the way off. Let people have their happy making things.

This comment brought to you by every single online space everywhere. Sure, there are things to dislike about TS. Her music is the least of them. But hating on her fans is getting tiresome.

I am not a fan of her music but then her genre isn't something i listen to anyway but i will never, ever criticise anyone for their musical taste. Personally i'm glad you like it, if it moves you, that's a good thing. I like that you like it...

The interesting thing about Taylor's music is she genre hops. People who loved her country sound HATED when she made pop music. people who loved Folklore and Evermore for the more indie vibe didn't love other albums. Hating Taylor is sport for many.

At the end of the day she has one of the most loyal fandoms I have ever seen. She has broken record after record. She advocated for artist's rights. She quietly donates millions to all kinds of causes. She registered more people to vote than pretty much anyone. So people who hate on her really are speaking to their own integrity, not hers.

I love the vibes and music in it.

It's fun. It's boppy. It's a totally different direction than TTPD or Folklore and I'm cool with that. She produces good music in whatever genre she chooses and some people just can't handle that. Weirdos.

I don't get why people hate on her so much.. I've not heard it but I like some of her other stuff and would never hate someone for their music or not listen to it because others don't like it

Yeah, that's it... Why do people insist on disliking someone because of who they listen to? Just be happy for them that they've found an artist that makes them happy.
