[pet health][monster] we have brought the boy to the vet today to get checked. we noticed that he's been less energetic and not eating as much, and since he's 14 I get very wary of changes to his behavior and weight. so he's now with the vet to see what's up

we're thinking that there must be something up with his mouth and teeth. we tried to give him some of his dental treats and he seemed to be having a hard time with it, so we made the call to get him checked out

lol so the ER doesn't really have the ability to evaluate his mouth or teeth apparently. they said that they can see some signs of a dental disease but they're gonna test his blood for kidney issues that might also be causing digestion problems

one option if it's "bad" would be removing his teeth, and lots of kitties live on soft food only (I lived with one lol) so hopefully you can find the right vet and they'll have a solution!!
