not a surprise, I think she was nearing 100, but this one hits; the very first adult nonfiction book i read as a kid was one of hers, and i was always fascinated by her

91, actually, but a good long life full of great accomplishments

and hopefully a lot of happiness

there's a plaque honoring her at my alma mater because of a speech she did there. she's seriously going to be missed

she and temple grandin were my animal-people fascinations starting from middle school

elementary school, even, I think

She was 91. It was a blessing that we had her this long.
