i had a cat that kept peeing at the end of the hall, and didn't know there was a plastic barrier underneath, but the thing with those is, they don't protect the cut ends of the carpet in any way

these ones are a little tall and she might just not want to use the steps

i was attempting to really soak the carpet area good, and ended up pushing the liquid to the edges and it soaked the baseboards

what i found did work decently, until i realized it was in the wood baseboards, was actually using a box cutter to peel back the carpet, have a towel underneath where i peeled it back to, and treat it from the underside

this helped minimize how much the liquid spread as i soaked the carpet in enzyme cleaner

ahhhh, I'll defs look into it! We've been thankfully able to get her using pee pads on that spot so it's not as dire as maybe it would otherwise be!

yes! we've got a system so right now she is NOT peeing on carpet, but she was, and she has not stopped peeing in that spot, just. on the pee pad we provide
