man though it never ceases to amaze me how fucking dramatic the wolfberry bush's dormancy is

when it's hot and dry for too long that thing looks DEAD

but as soon as it tastes a little rainwater suddenly it's fully covered with leaves again

I'm gonna have to take before/after photos next time it goes dormant. it's truly a sight to behold.
