Handwaved CR + where do you want our CR to go!

After the scare with Folkmore destabilizing Altair has grudgingly accepted Folkmore as a second home and he has been trying to reach out to the people he likes more lately. Expect more surprise visits where he literally pops out of a shadow to say hi.

He's also started baking a bit. It was something special he and his little sister used to do together so he hasn't really told anyone about it yet

Also he's been more active with his painting and offering art to people. I need to make a post about it at some point when I have more energy

As always he challenges spirits and anyone else who is interested in chess for the majority of his lore.

and he visits the Shattered Spoon Shrine in the early morning to keep the lost souls company

Altair also has a safe place now if any of his close CR is interested! It's an airship in the sky and the weather changes randomly each time so the place isn't too perfect, otherwise Altair would feel uncomfortable. He can't stand perfection.

He also goes to a few of the Folkmore schools, Baba Yaga, Agrona and Jewelia but he chafes at order after being forced to become a noble so he goes whenever he feels like it instead, making him a very elusive student. He takes his studies seriously though since he never had a chance to go to school back home. He just like to learn on his own terms.

Kai performs with his flute at the pub, enjoys browsing the marketplace (with the occasional pickpocketing practice. He gives everything back though, unless his mark annoys him somehow), and he tries to spend some time in the library brushing up on reading. He lived on the street for years so he hasn't had access to so many books in a long time.

He plays his flute everywhere, even after the disaster with the rats. He's not losing his music because they gave pipers like him a bad name.

He also likes playing with the fae children

He lives in the dorms but he doesn't like to let people know he lives there because his real name, Lorcan Kiael is on the nameplate.

He's scarce in the common areas but food is an easy way to lure him into the kitchens. Even though he technically doesn't need to eat as a mage, he will never turn down free food and will even offer to help cook if he can have some.

At night he roams the rooftops and visits the graveyard. His magic allows him to resonate with the lingering emotions the dead leave behind so he dedicates a lot of time to weaving those emotions into new songs.

Also when his magic gets too low he turns into a magical fox so that's a fun possibility with him too.

I'm still getting Sirius settled in Somnia so I don't have as many ideas for him but I do have some.

He's staying at a ruined library that's mostly been overgrown by fungus.

There is a some part that's still intact and Sirius is slowly trying to preserve the books he can there. He's a sheltered noble so he's not used to a lot of physical work but he's proud of the bookshelves he has managed to clear out and made a safe home for the books haven't been too damaged. He tries to clear out a section each day when he's not exploring.

as a wraith he has an aura of deathly cold around him so he tries to freeze others for too long with his company and wanders a lot

his wanderings usually bring him back to his tethers, who can chase away the cold for longer.

as for the Murmur, Sirius uses it constantly. The connection helps ease the emptiness from losing his magic.

also I would love to get him a chess set! He would invite others to play chess with him all the time.

Nicholaj : Kai and Sync both have “high places/rooftops late at night” in common, so the chances of Sync at least seeing him from a distance are high 😆otherwise, I definitely want to interact more 🥲

lol same! Kai's first meeting with Sync has been a lot of fun. Sync intrigues Kai and I would love to do more with them. If he gets to know Sync more maybe he won't mistake him for something bigger than an owl next time lol

also you're fine! I think that's it for handwaving options. I'm open to other ideas as well! All of my characters are pretty flexible

Mitsuko slamming baking recipes onto Altair and making sure her little friend is cared and looked after when they catch up

lol nice! I would love to work up to them baking together! Since it's tied to his sister he will be a bit hesitant about it but sharing recipes is a great start!

Mitsuko is definitely on Altair's list to visit more often. He won't admit it though and just says he's here for her good cooking.

Late, but what if daily tea time with Ignis for the poor cold wraith? Also, Sirius help him find a book to teach him braille.... It's a library. Surely there is something there!
