Romantic state of the RP...

Simon is simple, because he is committed to his husband and wife, neither of which are here.

Bel has somehow managed to land both an actual romantic partner, but is also relaxed enough to flirt with other members of the poly-cule without worrying that he's going to Fuck Everything Up.

(For all that Bel is very comfortable with sex, he has very little experience with romance, and most of his prior 'longer than a fling' relationships were with other drow, which meant he knew the culture he was dealing with.)

Bel has no clue how he got into this situation, but he's not objecting at all.

Ilphyl has several crushes, but they are also pretty comfortable with not acting on their crushes.

Ilphyl gets complicated because they are in a liminal state -- adult by drow standards, but their mentor knew enough surface elves to give them the option to act like an adolescent for a bit longer.

(FR elves tend to consider the first hundred years as 'yes, physically you are an adult, but you haven't mentally/spiritually matured'; elves living among other races are more likely to mature earlier as their childhood friends become adults.)

So Ilphyl tends to take a wait and see approach when they realize they are interested in someone because at this point they have no idea what is a comparable age for a human.
