So Sailor Moon, I didn't actually get much chance to watch the anime, I saw like a few clips of it in....german I think, when we first got a sky box and were trying to tune it in or whatever, but I could never find it in English on a channel we had. Then I saw the Manga on sale and started spending way to much money on that. It also influenced my art ALOT
Unico.... So I was a huge MLP fan and we ended up renting this probably because of that, funny thing is I could never find it again anywhere. I was starting to think I made it up. Then Unico awakening came out last year and I was like HOLY SHIT IT WAS REAL
Dominion Tank Police I loved this. I love Leona, I love her obsession with Bonaparte (I did not get the ref until many years later lol) the sex worker cats who just wanted to live a decent life man. Also the guy they worked for who I don't even know how to start explaining.
Also London taking the shot on a runaway lorry, hitting it perfectly but still kinda going into shock because he had to stand in front of a lorry that was barrelling towards him and that's scary man
Okay, I feel like Yu Gi Oh is a little to modern to be on this list but fuck the amount of money I spent on it man. Also while my very early fanfiction was video game based I think this was the first Anime I wrote fanfic for. (It was song fic though so FF dot net killed it)
Bio Booster Armor Guyver. Okay so I think this show single handily upped my tolerance for gore and blood. But damn it I wanted to know what happened to Sho and Mizuki! T_T
Gundam Wing. Sooo anyone else remember Gundam Maths lol? Also Duo is my fav character and I have a model of Death Scythe (Which sadly isn't very good at standing up because I'm the one who put it together)
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind So something I didn't say about Yu Gi Oh was that all the talk around it taught me that Dubbing censorship is bad Nausicaä taught me that the difference between subs and dubs can actually be very interesting and I felt like the sub for this one was a translation while the dub was a localisation + they aren't the same thing
Tenshi Muyou Okay look... anime was really had to find on TV and this one had an adorable bunny that could turn into a spaceship and I LOVED that. I also didn't realise there was so many versions of this series and I was so confused about what was going on
Monster City so I would stay up until midnight on saturdays and record whatever random anime move was on that night. I don't remember much about this film except there was a lot of out of place swearing which led to me learning what "Fifteening" was and I liked it enough to watch it more than once and not record over right away.
