Nintendo needs to get out ahead of Evo since they probably have fewer announcements, given their partners are less likely to come without vendor support.

We know one thing ArcSys has with Marvel Tokon.

Nintendo hasn't specified the scope for this Direct, as far as anyone knows, right?

Other than it's a 25 minute long partner showcase? No.

Partner showcase means there won't be a ton a ton of first party IPs except whatever Musos KT is making with Nindy's blessing.

Yeah, the fact that it's the partner showcase has me squinting.

The timing with Evo RIGHT THERE tells me, at least, that there's something they want the fighting community talking about at least peripherally.

Their definition of Partner probably means Not Smash - even though that has been Namco and Sora for two entries.
