ALRIGHTY FRIENDS... so I got an answer from the mods. The answer was essentially, due to the space station having a whole entire plumbing system, "looting the showers" would be just as complicated a process as it would be in a facility on earth.

Because of this, I don't think this would accomplish Walter's goal of "every inmate can just have a personal shower! 8D". I think that like... working really hard and combining other components... You could accomplish maybe one unit per day...

Which is still a good thing. For example if Wu Xin and Jinx each want one then awesome.

And likewise if multiple large teams got really into the project then maybe more would be accomplished

Will has some plumbing experience, btw! He'll tell Walter he'd help assemble something (would've done it in a thread earlier if I hadn't been so out of it). He's not an expert or anything, but at least he's fixed some plumbing situations before. Too bad there's no easy solution here, though.

Because Walter is discoursing about any kind of quarantine protocol, I'm going to clarify that Walter will be continuing to stay on the station as long as possible and more like bring the "shower parts" to a central area and they'll transport them all at once as safely as possible Later.

I think Joel is going to be too busy trying to convince himself this is all a weird dream to be useful (plus future craziness when the shit hits the fan), but I definitely want to see if he can be useful as a plumber/constructionist once things settle down. Just fyi for the moment
