I'm starting the final disc of Batman Beyond. I'll probably watch 3-4 episodes tonight. This disc has:
-The Call (a 2 parter - I think this is the Superman one)
-Betrayal
-Curse of the Kobra (another two parter, which is rare for this series)
-Countdown
-Unmasked

Hard to believe I'm almost caught up on the DCAU, or at least the shows that I have on DVD. (I don't have Static Shock or the Zeta Project)
megadoomer
Superman sounds completely different from the other DCAU voice actors - higher-pitched.
megadoomer
Glad that Big Barda gets to play a major role, even if Mister Miracle seems like he's only getting a cameo. (I think they only had one episode in Justice League where they got focus)
megadoomer
Warhawk's supposed death was revealed to be fake pretty quickly.
megadoomer
I'd like to think that Superman's possession is fairly recent (though it's described as having been years), rather than having it be something like "Lois died while Superman was possessed".
megadoomer
Starro flying around in Superman's body looks intentionally wrong.
megadoomer
Clark saying that Terry has more in common with Bruce than he thinks likely wasn't intended to be a hint of Terry and Bruce being related, but it definitely comes across that way.
megadoomer
Big Time came back sooner than I expected. Betrayal was all right.
megadoomer
Hoping to finish these today and do the double feature tonight or this weekend.
megadoomer
Wasn't expecting the woman from Day Of The Samurai to make a reappearance.
megadoomer
"How are you ever going to be an effective leader if you've never eaten pizza?" Flawless logic.
megadoomer
Xander's helmet just looks silly.
megadoomer
There was potential for Xander to be an interesting character that seemed like it was thrown away when it was revealed that he planned to turn humans into dinosaurs.
megadoomer
Surprised that Kairi unambiguously died. (Maybe she turned up alive later in a tie-in comic - if there's no body, then there's a chance of survival - but these shows usually seem to avoid death)
megadoomer
I can't believe that, after season 1, Mad Stan is more or less Terry's archenemy.
megadoomer
Didn't expect that Countdown would be a crossover with The Zeta Project; I thought Zeta only appeared in one episode.
megadoomer
I also wasn't expecting Countdown to mainly be focused on Mad Stan (and Zeta)
megadoomer
Now I'm on Unmasked, the final episode.
megadoomer
Terry should watch his language - cursing in front of a small child! (I'm guessing the episode will end without him revealing his identity to Dana, though I don't have as much of an issue with it as I did with how STAS handled the Superman/Lois relationship)
megadoomer
Done! Not what I'd expect them to end the series on (fairly low-key), but I guess the people behind these series generally don't know that the series is ending. (With some exceptions like Justice League)
