Zigzag Stampede
Our poor babies. Betrayed. Sleeping as burritos in their blankets to be yanked out and taken to the vet for their yearly check ups.
Zigzag Stampede
Berna was so asleep she was loudly snoring and didn't wake up when I initially shook her. Only when I started to lift her up to put her in her crate. The betrayal.
Zigzag Stampede
But vet says they both look good (except fat) and vaccines have been updated for another year.

If it matters, I had my yearly physical this morning, so I feel that, kittens. Should probably update my tetanus, but y'know.

It was slightly interesting after we brought them home. Berna usually is silent. At best squeaking when we don't notice her looming when she wants us to notice. Otherwise she prefers you to pretend not to notice her.

She is ninja.

A terrible one as we always see her, but she likes to think she's sneaky.

So we were surprised that after giving her the customary 5-10 minutes to shun/hide from us after returning home, she marched herself into the room and just started meowing loudly
Zigzag Stampede
It was like she came in and was going: Okay, humans. I've sulked and I'm now ready to tell you ALL my complaints

All of them. In stereo.

Cats are silly things
LadyRogue
They are the silliest

When I showed Berna she still had food and she kept meowing, I ended up picking her up and putting her under her blanket.

And she sort of went: oh yes. Napping here. That's what I was doing before being cat-napped. Guess I'll do that again.
