disappointed one of the cats from next door - first by putting out sultanas & breadcrumbs instead of snippets of ham or turkey and then by scaring off a juvenile goldfinch it had been getting ready to pounce on.

the kitty-cat gave me what might have been a withering/accusatory look and stalked off in disgust soon afterwards - leaping back over the fence into its own garden.
