still got annoying microscopic crawlers in here and the ongoing moth infestation to contend with but seems to have succeeded in persuading a fly to leave by luring it to an exit window.

they are bound to be closely related but there are a bunch of slightly different species such that the hormone traps only work on some and not others. So the critters themselves definitely know which is which.

not got woollen (or fur) clothing anyway because I'm allergic to it. So the moths here are carpet moths of necessity. Although the carpets are mostly synthetic, the base on which they are woven must be a natural fibre of some sort.
