straight up have a tummyache from laughing and crying bc i had terrible insomnia last night overthinking and discouraging myself and i was just so flabbergasted to get the phone call
gonna be a big big change and i am very nervous but omfg i'm so ready to be done with never being able to make any kind of plans bc of unpredictable work scheduling
it's a full-time WFH proofreading job for a fuckin. automotive ad company of all things but my partner has worked there for about 5 and a half years now
i will have to figure out a WFH set-up because i know i ain't doing an 8hr shift in my hot-ass tiny room over the summer but ill cross that bridge in a few weeks
glad you are already thinking about a different set-up from your bedroom bc i would say the first rule of WFH is to have a designated workspace outside of your room/living area, if possible
the second rule of WFH is to make sure to get up and stretch. and in fact it will probably help to have reminders on your phone because otherwise you WILL forget
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FRIENDS i've read a lot of the WFH advice already (and most of my social circle is WFH at this point LOL) so i think i should be able to set up a decent system, just hopefully the roomies will be okay with me taking a corner in the living room so I can work in the AC
yeah i discovered when i went to fill out the application that they wanted a portfolio of writing samples, which makes sense but was not said in the job listing, and so i was like all of my recent technical writing... has been for mod stuff........ MFDGMKLFHKL
i have no idea why they are asking for employment history verification and professional references at this stage also so i get to dig up all that information tomorrow to sign my acceptance for this offer,,, strange.
