literally just watched Thomas lose use of the brain cell in the middle of doing something

I've got a string of christmas lights strung around my room, and it trails under the bed to the outlet, and getting him to not play with it is an ongoing problem

(he hides under the bookshelf next to the bed because he can reach around behind it to rattle them, thinking i won't know it's him)

but just now he made a move for it and I said to him: "Thomas, those aren't for you." So he stretched up on his back legs like he was making a grab for one of the squishmallows instead

EXCEPT mid-reach he just kind of blanked out and fell over backwards

now he's chasing his tail

he also did the cool-guy-from-the-50s move of holding his paw out so I'd give him five, but snatching it away again to sweep it over his hair before I could make contact, that was last night, it made me laugh really hard

(legit stuck his paw out to get my attention, and then when I reached for it he pulled it back and licked it)
