had an unannounced (ie no updates by email) delivery this afternoon which is 2 to 4 days earlier than the original estimate. So I hadn't got the automatic alarm doorbell turned on.

they rang my house phone from outside my front door and then zoomed off in a little sporty(?) car, I think (1 delivery person & 1 getaway driver). So that was a very improvised delivery compared with the usual white van man.

leaving the parcel in the quarantine zone for now.

still not had an email claiming they're going to deliver it nor that they have already delivered it. That's kind of odd for how things have been running of late.

opened it now and it was the expected item. But maybe it didn't come from the same warehousing system as usual or something.

pleased it was handled relatively well despite being unexpected...
