i had the worst interview i've ever had in my 35 years of life and walked away not wanting the position tea being spilled in this plurk come have a seat and get sippin

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
so, the botique was tucked away in an alcove that i couldn't find and i was late (less then ten minutes) and the first thing she did was admonish me.

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
then, she addressed my work history referencing my time at kroger in ohio for which i lived there less than a year. "you don't stay very many places."

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
then, she said that i should've looked up the botique and dressed the way they sell clothes for the interview. I was in a dress shirt, and nice jeans with my hair done for the record.

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
so she admonished me on that too and said i should dress for success and etc

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
finally she asked if i was married and when i replied no she said sorry

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
and i'm like sis you don't even know me what the actual fuck is this interview

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
the whole thing was a train wreck and while i maintained professional courtesty i was blown away by her lack there of

ᴄᴀʙʟᴇ ɢᴜʏ
ew ew ew

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
oh and for reference to the ohio thing

Cirape
...yeesh, defintely a case of you interviewing them and they failed

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
that was more than ten years ago

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
????

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
like sorry i didn't stay a pharmay tech in ohio for more than a year in 2015

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
i didn't know it would make you feel this way

noumenia.
what even

reid
The fact that they asked about your marital status is illegal I think

reid
You could sue

spooky queer
that’s a valid interview to walk out of

spooky queer
and yes but that’s under the old EEOC, not the trumpified one

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
it's not illegal to ask but is discriminatory and can be found as fraudulent for hiring decisions but with the state of america idek if it's worth all that lmfao

spooky queer
so who knows

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
at this point i'm just happy to have dodged the bullet lol

reid
Ugh true

reid
Sounds like you ultimately dodged a bullet

reid
She sounds miserable to work for

spooky queer
okay the current language is “may violate title vii” so it probably depends

ᴇᴀʀᴛʜ ɢᴇɴᴀꜱɪ
it's interviews like this that make me dread having to go through the process when I'm finally able. I'd have just walked out. especially after the whole dress thing

ദ്ദി •⩊• )
is it legal to ask about marriage where you are? (it's very illegal here.)

𝚃𝙷𝙴𝙴 𝚙𝚒𝚝?!
holy shit lmao. that sounds like a nightmare

theresa 🦇
jesus lmao. i think i probably would have left. i've had interviews that i could tell weren't going well and had to fight the urge to get up and leave but never ever anything this bad

ᴄᴀᴘᴛᴀɪɴ
wowwww

𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐎𝐍! 🔥

🍇 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐦.
what the hell, she had it in for you

🍇 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐦.
my one rule when interviewing is definitely any level of late is probably not a good example, but a ) stay professional either way and b ) they could turn your opinion around

Shan-aconda
Ffs that is yeah no this sounds like a bullet dodged

Shan-aconda
Also it is illegal to ask marital status or if you have kids

Red Panda Jean
yeah, they failed that interview, for sure

StupidSexyV⚠der
bullet dodged? no, a NUKE dodged.

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
🍇 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐦.
: yeah I didn't mean to be late but literally could not see the place from the street or parking

🍇 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐦.
oh yeah, it happens! like I said, be professional about it and this woman wasn't. also judging you for not being married. bs

spooky queer
yeeahhh

spooky queer
i've never actually walked out but i have withdrawn an application after an uncomfortable interview

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
siri how do you say you don't believe in marriage in the south

spooky queer

spooky queer
siri: how about that fried chicken

➴ɨռȶʀʊֆɨʋɛ ȶɦօȶ
