To my surprise, I managed to get a Switch 2; I'm not sure if it's a good sign (that Nintendo's putting enough stock out there) or a bad one (that there's not much demand).

I got the Mario Kart bundle - I haven't played a Mario Kart game since the Wii U, so I'm interested to see how this goes.

Nintendo took making sure there was more supply a lot more seriously this launch. The idea was to combat scalpers by, shock and horror, having a large volume of supply to meet initial demand

There's speculation that they'd been stockpiling supply for months before the release so yeah

It's hard to really tell where we're at in terms of meeting expectations because right now the popular thing for a lot of media to do is be negative because it generates clicks rather than bother with nuance, so I couldn't tell you with certainty off-handedly.

Either way, what signs I have seen suggest the console's doing well.

But that's not unusual, the real test will be how big the tail is after launch.
