When deleting the message from my grandmother I realize she wasn't asking, but telling me to text her back. Haha, no.

I haven't spoken to any of my mom's family since her funeral. Occasionally her sister will message me to check in or whatever. Now her step-mother tells me about some necklace of my mom's.
