I also get bothered by the apps that try too hard to be "personable" and "hip" with Millenials. That may be because I'm not really an Millenial, and because there are a lot of "hip" and "cute" slang that bothers me. I tried NOOM, and hated it immediately for too many acronyms and hashtags.

Also, I don't know... maybe the scheduled times are A Thing to give you motivation to keep going, but if you don't have the energy, logging in at a scheduled time is not helpful.
