Not a stellar week for season / series finales.

Last of Us season 2 is rough. Kinda amusing how having a partner to watch it with helped me take a step back and assess between the show’s intentions and its execution. Further muddled by online discourse, which I feel can still be summed up to a “wrong jawline” type argument.

The Handmaid’s Tale finale was very “hold my beer” to LOTR’s multiple endings. A LOT of “well we sure learned something about ourselves” moments. Sorry, but I found it super hilarious that it ended with June assembling her thoughts for a book instead of finally getting her daughter. And my wife’s disappointed reaction I also found super hilarious.

Can you jump sharks in a first season finale? Sirens sure seemed like it did.

Nine Perfect Strangers to me was ultimately a stoner shape forced into a White Lotus sized hole.

At least we finally got new Rick and Morty. And that Reacher and The Studio are done so I can binge.

So Sirens no good? Had that on the backlog. If it's skippable I'll move on.

Autobot Abubot : Sirens is easy on the eyes, not necessarily on the brain. Its an easy binge if you dare.

I loved The Last of Us. Hassle yung years-long wait. That's the biggest drawback. But I truly, truuuly loved everything else. The journey, the complexity of every single character in it!

Also, closing out my last ongoing weekly show this Saturday na rin with Doctor Who. Hehe.

UPDATE: Just read about the Handmaid's sequel series in development so a lot of what happened on the finale was designed to serve that. Bleh.
