[Doctor Who] I'm going to watch the new Doctor Who episode, "Wish World". After that, I'll try watching "Dimensions In Time" (I think I found the full version on Youtube? It's about 17 minutes), though I'll likely make a separate post for that. (this post will likely be spoiler-heavy)

The Rani seems to be putting a surprising amount of stock into mysticism/superstition given her characterization as an amoral scientist.

She's going to steal that baby, isn't she?

The children are now ducks. (I was expecting penguins)

Not sure why the Rani gave Conrad, of all people, control over the Earth. (though that's likely small potatoes as far as she's concerned)

Okay, they are definitely using him to mock J.K. Rowling. (I wouldn't be surprised if he throws out some racist/homophobic/transphobic nonsense)

The book was written by I.M. Foreman - I think that's from the junkyard from the 1st Doctor's era? (I remember it showing up in one of the Sixth Doctor's episodes when the TARDIS's chameleon circuit wasn't working)

Definitely says a lot about Conrad's views when single women aren't allowed to do anything and have to be grateful for it.

I feel like they're also using this opportunity to be critical about how some companions exited the show.

Cringed at the idea that if Kate gets into a relationship, then it means that she doesn't have to (or she's no longer allowed to) work. (though I know that, in reality, that was seen as the norm a while ago)

(or at least, I'm pretty sure that was seen as the norm)

I feel like Mrs. Flood is going to use the baby to backstab the Rani. (which is not a sentence that I thought I'd write)

Well, that's a familiar giggle.

Not sure if "the One Who is Lost" is the Master - I figure the Rani would want to avoid being around the Master if at all possible, given how the team-up that I saw went. (it ended with the Master and the Rani trapped in a TARDIS, frozen in place with a steadily growing T. Rex in front of them)

The Rani seems to greatly overestimate the Doctor's opinion about her. (if Conrad's story is any indication, she seems to think that the Doctor will work with her because they're the last two Time Lords, but they don't seem to know each other all that well from what I've seen)

Also, the idea of a long-forgotten secret from Time Lord history gives me an idea of where this might be going. (something tied to Rasillon or Omega; there might be other Time Lords from the dawn of their civilization, but those are the only two that I'm aware of)

Wasn't expecting Rogue to appear. (or for him to be stuck in a rapidly-decaying hell dimension)

The Rani's characterization here (aside from the bit about all of the Doctor's enemies wanting death while she wants life) reminds me more of Missy than the Rani.

I'm guessing it's going to pay off next episode, but so far, Ruby's presence here doesn't really add anything.

It definitely stuck out that, out of the montage of Doctors, the 8th Doctor was from an illusion/mental image from 13's run rather than the movie or Night of the Doctor.

The cliffhanger feels a bit lazy, like a retread of last season's but minus the build-up.
