AE was the first cs6 piece to stop working when I had to update my OS. photoshop lasted the longest)
ohhh yeah its main thing is 3D rendering, but that includes animation... idk the tools you're used to for 2D tho so it's hard to say how far off-purpose your use of Blender would be
