the funniest thing i can say about that One Scene is that i had to tell someone that it didn't really happen because i guess it is completely believable on the incest dragon show

daemon's mother is alyssa targaryen who was known for having a "warrior's heart" and basically rejected everything expected of girls and women to fight and climb

when viserys and daemon were born she took them up on meleys within a week or two even though people told her not to lmao

his parents were basically inseparable from childhood because uh yeah they were brother and sister so they were children born out of a lot of love

and then she died due to complications from childbirth when he was ~3 which was the first of several tragedies he would deal with in life and one reason his outlook on the world is coloured by how much grief he's experienced in life

apparently when she was six she got hit in the face with a wooden sword and it broke her nose and it didn't bother her at all

when her brother vaegon insulted their sister daella she poured wine on him and then embarrassed him so badly in the training yard later that he gave up entirely lmao
