also. if we can't be on our phones because that's not properly supervising the children, then I don't think meticulously logging details into the work tablet is properly supervising the children either

I know keeping employees is hard. but if you hired one extra teacher per room - or at least for the pre potty trained rooms - it would fix the problem lmao

bonus work bs: you know what. if my director quit because apparently corporate was streaming our security cams live to hq to catch us on our phones and she was tired of being a cop? I don't even blame her

if I could find another job that would let me work part time hours I work here I would leave so fast but also I don't have a car and even in college town that's like. a career death sentence.

third one which maybe I shouldn't say but one of the "teacher but authorized to close the center" keeps talking smugly about how things are "going to change around here" and like. I think whatever problems we have are at the corporate funding level primarily. but okay!

sorry I don't think there's any way you can discipline the teachers to pick up toys when we had 2 of them quit same day same class and so we have to have Nineteen Kids in a classroom until the next shift starts in the mornings.

yes I am also annoyed by how little my coteachers in my classroom clean. but can you shut the fuck up? "things are gonna change" Yeah can you start by Employing More Teachers?

also last I heard we aren't allowed over time so yes I am clocking out on time if the room isn't finished cleaning. I don't give a fuck. also I need to catch my bus? lmao? buy me a car and then we'll talk about how much I clean at closing

and honestly I would LOVE to stay late and clean, I hate leaving it unfinished, but 1) no overtime lmao 2) I do Not love getting home a whole 45 minutes later. are you insane?

ngl i thought you guys made the kids pick up after themselves after seeing something about a mom starting to sing a clean up song and saying her kid reacted like a sleeper agent that just heard the signal

Anyway whatever. I do like my hours and my job most of the time. and now is a bad time to be without one so I'll stick it out. but man. if something breaks irreparably soon I won't even be surprised

tentamoff : we are supposed to make the kids clean up but my room works with "literally just turned 1" year olds and we have 13 of them minimum at all hours of the day. some battles you have to accept losing.

and if the morning teachers don't make them clean then what I do in the afternoon doesn't matter much....

TANGENTIALLY: I would love a third teacher in my classroom so that we could actually have two people monitoring the kids while someone does diapers. it takes an hour to do twelve diapers and we have to check them every hour. that math works out to..... no I don't get to sit down with the kids ever lmao
