lord help me, I'm contemplating taking up needlecrafts

I embroidered a little a long time ago (like, middle-school era) but I haven't done cross stitch at all

but it looks so cool and I'm kind of feeling meh about knitting right now

and it looks easy enough to try really basic stuff
