weird question: do you think eating utensils are common in Bottlecap Bay? or is it more of a...you're expected to eat with your hands/straight out of the bowl like an actual Pokemon kind of deal?

there are certain cases in which she would do it because it IS funny and will freak people out....but in other cases she can't.....she just can't 😭😭 what if she intends to share, she can't just walk onto THE WHOLE BOWL
maybe she would have made her own chopsticks.......🤔🤔 but then i have to imagine how she would chopstick up some food and still manage to get it under her disguise rag......what a ridiculous creature
yeah i was looking at the menu artwork and Spinda's Cafe and whatnot and there is just...nothing.....but the menu artwork is literally just apples and berries. and Spinda's Cafe is literally just drinks. so i wasn't like.....sure?
some Pokemon DO have hands WITH THUMBS.....Machamp has a lot of them in fact! but to be clear i actually do prefer them all needing to apply face directly to bowl. that's more charming. so good work team
i will probably handwave that Shoka has some chopsticks she got made for herself though.....for those moments she doesn't want to literally walk all over her food 😭😭

I guess they would have to have some utensils, at least, as they make some food... you can get donuts and cookies and stuff in game. they'd have to have bowls and spoons and measuring cups etc.
Alakazam spoons spontaneously form on evolution and some other Pokemon saw that and were like "hm you know that's not a bad idea 🤔 i want one of those" and started making spoons
the normal type damage boosting items don't really exist in pmd proper but we're not straight pmd-only items anyway, given by the fact that we've seen akechi get an Unovan grass gem (damage boost 1 time) and not the pmd one (Movement Speed raises 1 level in Sunny weather)
yeah Shoka generally picks food items up and pulls them under her costume to discreetly consume....but i now have a thread in which i am needing to think about how she might handle a food dish that isn't like....quite so pickup-able. somehow this is the first time this has happened. again characters in PMD be eating nothing but apples and shit

i had not considered this because Aint Nothing Changed for firepaw BUT most pokemon food seems to either be handheld or soup/curry... so i guess spoons optional but for most things they can pick it up or lift the bowl to their mouth
