柏拉圖：「拒絕參與統治的人，會被更糟糕的人統治。」

希臘哲學家柏拉圖：
“Now, the greatest punishment, if one isn’t willing to rule, is to be ruled by some worse than oneself.” (Republic Book I 347 c-d)
如果一個人不願從事統治工作，那麼對他最大的懲罰就是被比他更壞的人統治。（這個統治指的就是政治）。
