[RL/Mom update/Mute]

Took mom to the ER again last week. This time she was admitted due to severe dehydration and low potassium, magnesium, and electrolytes.

Turns out she was severely constipated and had been for about two months, and it was affecting her overall health. She's much better now, but the staff is unfortunately still not being fully considerate of her needs or my limitations.

They want to send her to a rehab center to work on her strength and mobility, but we both just found out today while they were pushing us to pick one on the spot that she's well enough to be discharged.

I'm glad she is FINALLY getting some help but yikes at the inappropriate care and the pressure to pick a facility sight unseen

She was onboard with it, but between this and the usual pain that comes from being an inpatient she's leaning heavily toward just coming home.

Lҽɳα ɘꙅɿɘvᴎI : I'm very grateful that there's a marked improvement to her health at least.

Eating is still going to be a struggle due to nothing tasting right to her and her mentioning that texture is also off for her now. But whatever happens next we'll figure something out.

I may have an update tomorrow, but as of yesterday, mom is still nauseous and apparently her veins aren't quite flowing correctly due to the dehydration.

The hospital is putting her on a pain relief regiment to hopefully find something that makes her leg pain manageable.

I'm a little dubious on the effectiveness while she's struggling to eat since most painkillers seem pretty moot on an empty stomach. But I'm still crossing my fingers.

Also crossing my fingers for a decent sleep so my brain wakes up.
