still not there, but more I think about it, the more I think if she hadn't intervened to spoil Lym's rescue, it would've just kicked the can down the road

the Godwins would've still been in control of a big chunk of the country, including the capital and their home territory. losing their puppet queen might have made them more willing to negotiate a surrender, but that would give them time consolidate power even if they were exiled (since the royal siblings probably wouldn't execute them)

near the end of the game, and while she certainly caused more deaths in the short term by prolonging the war... I think the Godwins would've kept the Sun Rune. possibly even used it. and without the Twilight Rune, our heroes couldn't have stopped it
