fandom pet peeves because I wanted to do this earlier but fell asleep lol

I know that everyone has their opinions but a few things: Nobody in the Strawhats are leaving Luffy whenever I see someone trying to make an argument for why someone in the Strawhats would betray or leave Luffy I'm like "Have we read the same series?"

Genshin: I really like Lumine/Childe ship and it annoys me how many people try to spin it as something that's boring but I like it! Or they come up with why no one should ship with Childe when I'm like Childe is so cute I'll always love him

And the whole incest thing has me rolling my eyes coming from CLAMP and Angel Sanctuary and 90s shoujo i'm like alright we're going to have some incest things in the game but then I played Genshin and was like "...this is the incest everyone is making a fuss about?"

I'm dating myself but Hot Gimmick had more things in it

It took me this year to finally read a NaruSasu fic despite it being the most popular pairing in the series and that's because I got tired of being called names because I like the canon ships along with Naruto/Gaara

I love Kakashi/Iruka and Kiba/Shino and Sakura/Ino even the "forbidden" Neji/Hinata but because I'm a Hinata fan I remember many times people trying to tell me that I was a terrible person because Naruto/Sasuke wasn't my favorite let other people like what they like

Also the world is burning why am I going to spend my time writing a whole essay about what I like and don't like I didn't go through being teased during middle school and high school just to go through it again as an adult

I'm so tired of seeing so many hot takes that boils down to "If you don't like what I like in the exact way I like it then you're a bad person" and I get having strong opinions when you're young but this push that if you don't like a pairing in this way then you're the worst person ever has me so tired

Also I get disappointed whenever I see "this has incest!" or "this pairing is problematic!" I'm thinking it's the same levels of like Black Bird or something when it's not even that bad

it's like if I'm playing an otome and I get the ending where the male MC wants to keep my character locked in their house forever then let me have that ending I know what I signed up for

"he's terrible!" yes and? that's why I bought the game

also since I'm into omegaverse a pet peeve of mine is whoever is the omega their character completely changes to weepy uke I know that can be part of the verse or whatever but like I read an omeagaverse where Suga was a weepy omega and Daichi was like this daddy dom alpha that had me going "interesting choice okay" and i hit the back button

oh and Fire Emblem Fates wasn't that bad of a game like seeing people's takes on how it's the worst in the series is a stretch

i get not liking a character but whenever I see "this character needs to face consequences for what they've done!" i know it's time to go do something else

the Childe hate can be a bit overblown like "I get you don't like Childe but come on" and I love Childe so I'm ready to see him everywhere and any place I go to haha I really like him with Lumine! But I ship a lot with Lumine and I don't think it's a problem to ship with Lumine she's just as great!
