[Commissions] Hello! I am taking commissions to cover... uh, daily living costs, because Universal Credit only barely covers my outgoings, wooooo. I'm currently having fun with screentones, so that's what I'm offering - screentone character portraits! I have some range when it comes to style, too. More info within:
Just about any kind of character, really. If it's SFW, I'll probably give it a go. However I reserve the right to decline any commission that makes me uncomfortable.
The Process I'm including this because I think it's interesting! I'm not using a filter for these - the colour images are manually layered cymk, using purpose made brushes. This is why the full colour + shading image is quite time consuming, I'm running on a five colour palette - cyan, magenta, yellow, black and white.
About Me + My Circumstances I'm currently unemployed following a long period of illness, and am currently classed as having limited capability for work - I'm jobseeking, but looking for a less physical role and a phased return to work as I'm still recovering. Aaaand of course, the job market is rubbish.
I am, however, recovering. It took two years, but I finally had the surgery I needed! I'm doing pretty well, but just a little bit overexciteable.
Uterus owners, if you suspect Endometriosis, fight your doctor - undiagnosed and left to progress, it can seriously fuck you up, I could barely even walk.
Artistree is a commission platform with a very handy little status updater, which I leave public. Think Trello. Clients do not need to have an account to commission an artist. There is a percentage based service fee for the commissioner.
I will be bumping this up every now and then, fair warning! I'm not exactly an "in demand", popular artist with a following, so little visibility bumps here and there just helps reach a little... and unfortunately, when I say I need money I do mean it.
No, it's not "I need £700 for an emergency!" crisis, but it is "I am about £10 short of my regular monthly costs" so, tbh, even if just ONE person decides they rather like my stuff, I'll be sorted for the month!
On that note, I also have "pay what you want" (min £5) sketch comms over on Ko-Fi! I have a bit of a funny feeling Artistree is less popular for potential clients than Ko-Fi, but the fees from taking Paypal payments on Ko-Fi kinda hurt.
Are of my FF14 Lalafell...
