The first event of the World Boxing Cup 2025 will be the “World Boxing Cup: Brazil 2025 – Foz do Iguaçu” which will be held at the Rafain Palace Hotel & Convention from 29 March – 6 April 2025.

曾自強透露，目前預計明年4月會參加1場WB賽事，「這會是林郁婷2025年首戰，當然前提是在此之前就可以完成相關規定。」

曾自強指出，接下來就是看國際奧會新任主席是誰，「但我想不論誰接掌這個位子，應該都不可能推翻過去國際奧會所訂定的相關規範，才能保障運動員的權益。」
儘管WB在3月底將在巴西舉辦首場賽事，但曾自強和愛徒林郁婷確定不參賽。曾自強說：「我們預計把5月的泰國公開賽當作今年首戰，林郁婷也確定會固定轉戰60公斤級。」
