mom did not have a meltdown or need to collapse from exhaustion between courses

I did not actually get auditory overwhelmed

(I did miss dessert due to needing to take a nap, because see previous plurk)

had nice dinner-table conversation, even with my dad's libertarian business partner, because we can agree on things like "ritalin = good" and "JoAnn's closing = bad"

and complain about the state of textiles these days

(she doesn't take ritalin, unlike me & godfather who was also present, but one of her kids did)

and I repeat: no meltdowns

none of us remember the last time that happened

we will be doing this again

oh yeah that will do it handily
