Over in Children of Bahamut, Popp's new project is going to be making an obstacle course, since he did not do a great job of flying around this event and also in hindsight we could have just turned into dragons and gone around blasting there would have been so much less tentacle brain trauma

I've been kind of ambiguous on whether he has had his spell book because frankly it is ambiguous in canon if he has it with him after Papnica so I've given it to him via regain so I can stop worrying about it

He's earned a little Kacrackle, as a treat

This also means he can in theory teach spells to other people although whether he should is another question....

And the timing means that he does have it on him in Etraya, where he is still meeting people and settling in

In these trying times, it does my heart good to know people in my immediate vicinity are busy giving their characters tentacle brain trauma

My Etraya plans are now that Popp knows there are missions with room for training arcs in between them he wants to work on spells that are not pure DPS

List of spells in Dragon Quest III - Dragon Quest Wi... look at all the spells a mage can learn at level thirty and below that he does not have because AoD does operate roughly on game mechanics but you do have to put the work in

There are other mages here and he wants to collab

At some point he's getting a tattoo to bond with his CRAU friends out of "what if we end up in another god damn jamjar" and he is 1. Going to be that guy who gets an around the arm tattoo without realizing how painful the underside is 2. Gonna power through it anyway but whine the entire time

I've never actually looked at that spell list before and man, I knew Avan's spell set was complete nonsense, but wow, Avan's spell set is complete nonsense
