: 6: Does your character have an unrealistic view of some area of their life or worldview? Popp absolutely does not grasp how cool he is because every time he thinks he's being cool he fucks it up and that's living in his head constantly
Most of what he does is based on hating his own cowardice and overcompensating, and he has a whole speech in the finale about how great it is that humanity struggles at living life to the fullest which is about all of mankind but also an ideal that hes been living up to
I think the thing I could point out him hating that isn't an obvious one, like Hadlar's cruelty and murder tendencies, is that he gets so snippy about Hyunkel knowing how fucking cool he is (cooler than Popp)
when he calms down from his crying fit in the Great Hero Returns bit the first thing he does after is try to check if Hyunkel is also ugly crying because he wants to see his image slip so much
refuses to tell anyone hes having trouble activating his mysticite pendant and it becomes this WHOLE fucking thing that nearly gets them all killed because he's scared about admitting that he's scared of not fitting into the group and avoids it until it causes this whole catastrophe
maam finds out he knows perfectly well how to do dishes after like, three years and then he claims he can't do them because he has trauma after she broke a plate over his head
