While his family isn't specifically any existing pantheon, I've always seen them in that mold of "supernatural powers, human flaws", and there are probably plenty of stories about people being fucked over because a god fell in love with them/they loved a god, which probably shapes it a little.
But he's also not necessarily cynical about love or relationships? I think he's too inclined to reach out to people to be cynical about relationships in the larger sense, for one thing. So it's a very balanced kind of thing.
29. I feel like this is a hard one for him. XD Like, I can't decide if the answer is "safe, it's just that his comfort zone is a really dangerous one" or "reckless, it's just that he surrounds himself with people who are so much more reckless it makes him look safe"?
I lean towards the first but I think he has more reckless inclinations than he allows himself to give in to. If he was alone and had ended up following more in his mom's footsteps like he once expected to, I genuinely think this man would be a goddamn disaster.
He likes stability and so he reaches for it, but I don't think he's as naturally inclined towards it as you'd think, he's just had a lot of time to settle into where he is.

The other answer is whatever bad things has happened to whoever is His Person. No, it doesn't matter if he could actually do something about it, or if he was there at the time. I think it'd be there even if it was before he knew them, to some extent. Cause he's healthy.
22. Not until someone shoves it in his face! I do see it more as something he's never given deep thought to than something he actively disbelieves in, if that makes sense? But there's no real belief there.
If there's anything he'll maybe give thought to or be willing to consider before being forced to, it's probably ufos/alien encounters? But even that's probably more of a hypothetical, "okay, so let's say if" kind of thing.

: Jamie: 15. Afraid of confrontation. If this is a scale where 0 is afraid and 10 is open, he's in the negative numbers. He is extremely bad with confrontation and will bury his own negative feelings so he can stay in denial about them instead for as long as possible.
17. Run, and I'm speaking in a purely literal sense. He does physical activity until he's too tired to feel. Of course, that tends to spark his abilities, so now he tries not to do that, but it's his instinct. If that's not an option, deny, bury, paste on a smile, and pretend that everything's great.
He has really never learned how to deal with negative emotions and someday something's going to happen to him and that's going to swing around and bite him hard but for now he's very good at pretending.
24. Several, the question is how many of those he's actually aware of. The broadest stroke is just that he's got a lot of submissive tendencies that he never really got to explore much of. Tell him what to do and then tell him he did good and he will be putty in anybody's hands.
He's also kind of an exhibitionist, which kind of ties into a lot of his other issues? His body is the one thing he really feels confident in, so he likes to show off, and that doesn't necessarily only apply to sex, but it doesn't stop there either.
30. So because he's so adverse to admitting to negative emotions, this is kinda complicated? Like, I feel like he has to give himself excuses before he'll allow it, so it'll be chalked up to physical pain, or even a depressing movie. He's more comfortable with pretending he's being overly invested in something silly than admitting he's actually upset.
But he's really, really uncomfortable with being told he's failed at something, and I feel like if someone berated him directly enough, he wouldn't be able to help it eventually.
It would have to be kind of extensive, because he's extremely used to hearing shit like that thanks to his parents! But it's never stopped getting to him, he's just pretty good at ignoring it to a certain point.

I love all these answers for Jamie. I felt a lot of them, but they really open up his personality. It will be really fun to dive into the relationship with max, and I think they can even develop a more s/D side if they want. Max occasionally needs to be taken, but he can be so dominant. and he's great at expressing positive things. Okay, gotta pick up my car

: <333 I'm glad! I've been having a lot of fun nailing things down with him tbh, I used to think he was going to be a lot more emotionally open but the more things have developed and the more I prod at his issues, the worse he ends up being at that. Which is fun for me! Not so much for him. XD
And I am definitely down for exploring things there, it just kind of is a matter at getting there, because another reoccuring problem is that Jamie's very, very bad at expressing his desires. and needs. probably worse at that part, honestly.
We've got all the time in the world for them to work on them. That's the fun part, and Max is very open and with his powers it will help them, I think. He's also very much naturally demonstrative and possessive when he loves this deeply, so it will be an interesting course for them. I'm looking forward to it.
