The worst part about wanting to play a character from South Park is having to rewatch South Park. In the same way that the worst part of wanting to play a long standing DC comics character is having to reread (or at least skim) every major book they've been in, when over half of those books were garbage.
Some of my fav characters from both franchises are characters the head writers hated at some point or another, and have openly resented the idea that anyone liked them.
Both have surprisingly complex characters that far too often have that characterization ignored in order for the writers to use the character as a prop or mouth piece to push an agenda, or to drive some dumb ass plot.
Both rely on unreliable fan wiki's as a resource for collecting and updating character information, because God forbid they make, curate and update their own character Bibles.
And while both are capable of putting out really extraordinary and well crafted pieces of media, close to 65% of what both produce is either meh or outright infuriating.
But at least with meh comics, I can skim them. There's no real skimming episodes of a TV series (though I have started skipping to the next episode if Kenny dies, unless I really like that episode, cuz fuck it)
and its sequel:
