yesterday and today, the steps, front path, and driveway have been basically a sheet of ice

the Subaru, blessed be she, CAN make it down and up the driveway

Dad almost fell going down just now

in minor annoyance, this means I couldn't get my usual sunday evening orgy of noodles delivered, because - no. no I'm not asking that of someone.

more importantly, there are things like medications that need to be obtained, and trash is supposed to go down

as for me, if I must I would probably scootch down the stairs on my butt

i hate to say it but that does sound safest

despite my everything I am still the person here most capable of this, I think

Dad has trouble with ice/snow ever since he got the joint replacements; titanium just can't make the micro-adjustments

oh gosh yeah that makes sense unfortunately

he did anyway because his office is down there

update: in a heroic feat of strength and power, Dad has shoveled and scraped ALL the ice off the steps and path!
