oh man, I was already enjoying Signal From Tolva as a cool exploration robot game, but found out it has a lorebook, and I'm living! I'm loving it, such a good robot society perspective, I'm eating good(tm)

If you like robots 100% recommend, I need to make fanart sometime to spread the word

What I'm really enjoying about this, is just that it doesn't fall into a trope I normally don't like out of other media where machines overthrown humanity. Most other media make it almost an illogical and wild decision, and although the network has a malevolent edge to it, it's a calculated maneuver. Does that make sense?

There is 1(one) network faction who is benevolent towards humans beyond "We'll treat you sort of nicely but just while you're under contract", but it's divided by machines who mean well but mostly end up only placing targets on the backs of the human colonies... and the other wants to keep human pets.

BTW, the malevolence isn't that we're being actively hunted down, we're largely ignored except for a few extremists machines. But when a small group rebels, entire solar systems suffer, and the machines who overreact are never punished. Hell, receiving aid seen to be a reason to be beaten down.

ok, so there is others! 655 builds mileships, has human works and officials within their ranks, and supplies a Marxist human colony. Then there is the "Deepspace Quartet", that helps and supplies a human colony as well.
