Watched a NatGeo program on Herod the Great's Tomb last night. Am I the only person who finds reenactment stuff annoying?

Basic show: Herod built big stuff. One Israeli archeologist said he found The Tomb. Former student of his says, "Yes, he did!" Another former student of his says, "No, he didn't." Student B: "That sarcophagus isn't fancy enough and the tomb's in the wrong place." Student A: "Look at how fancy the sarcophagus is!"

The rest was reconstructions and reenactments. This was a 15 minute program dragged out to 45.

Also, did this give actors/costumer designers work or was it all AI?

That's made as badly as all the stuff like Ancient Aliens.

Never showing anything interesting, just all the old stuff you've seen a millionn times already while underlying it with suggestive questions.

If a tv program or a youtube video has a title ending with "?", don't watch it, you won't get the answer.

I hate those. My parents like shows like Unsolved Mysteries - so reenactments + no answers!
Kghia
Maybe it should be Unsolved Mysteries? to align with Tillie's format. It would work!
Lludmila
Heh!

Some of the historical spamgrammes on TV use actual actors and costumers, which is nice to see and pick at. They still pad the blazes out of the scripts, though.
