dkronfeld , I hate to ask you to repeat yourself again, but the whole TikTok absurdity has been a topic of discussion, of course. I wanted to share your professional opinion and critique of the app, but I couldn't find the terse commentary you made a few days ago.

I don't recall exactly what I wrote, but I wouldn't touch the app. I've had briefings about it that involve things that I'm not allowed to share, but there are some things that are public knowledge:

Probably the worst is that it was caught contstantly scraping the clipboards of devices it was installed on. This came to light when Apple introduced a feature to iOS that made it so that apps would have to ask permission to access the clipboard.

tl;dr: If you had the app installed TikTok got everything that you copied and pasted on the devices where you had it installed.
